Muscle recovery after training

60 min Recovery and spasm relief after exertion After workouts or in a course

Description

Sports massage is intensive muscle work that helps you recover after exertion, release spasms and prepare the body for training. The therapist works deeper than in a relaxing massage, focusing on overloaded muscle groups.

At Trueman salon in Batumi, sports massage suits both regular trainees and anyone whose muscles are tight from physical load or desk work. The session lasts 60 minutes; the therapist agrees the intensity with you.

This is a wellness treatment, not injury care: for pain or injuries, see a doctor first. The massage helps your body recover and move more freely.

How it goes

  1. 1

A talk about your load. The therapist checks your activity, tight areas and goal — recovery or preparation.

  2. 2

Muscle warm-up. The body is prepared for deeper work with gentle warming techniques.

  3. 3

Deep work. The therapist works the overloaded muscle groups, releasing spasms and knots.

  4. 4

Stretching and release. Closing techniques help restore muscle elasticity.

  5. 5

Recommendations. Advice on recovery and the best session frequency for your routine.

Who it is for

For those who train regularly and want to recover faster
To relieve muscle spasms and knots after exertion
To prepare the body for training and competitions
For muscles tight from physical or desk work
To maintain mobility and muscle tone

Contraindications

  • Fever, a cold or general malaise
  • Acute inflammation, skin damage or skin conditions in the massage area
  • Fresh injuries, sprains or muscle damage in the treated area
  • Thrombosis or pronounced varicose veins in the treated area
  • Cancer without approval from your doctor
  • The final list is individual — confirm it during a consultation with the therapist

How to prepare

Come 5–10 minutes before your session so you can change and get ready. Avoid a massage right after a heavy meal — it is better to eat 1–1.5 hours in advance. Drink some water beforehand and take a shower if you can. If you have injuries, chronic conditions or recent treatments, tell the therapist in advance so they can adjust the technique and intensity for you.

Aftercare

After the massage, do not rush to get up — give your body a couple of minutes to rest. Drink some water: it helps the muscles recover more gently. For the rest of the day it is best to avoid heavy training, sauna, steam baths and alcohol. A pleasant muscle tiredness is possible — that is normal and passes within a day. Listen to how you feel and follow the therapist's recommendations.
