Overview

Highlights, balayage and babylights create a soft play of colour and natural dimension, as if the hair had been sun-kissed. It isn't a solid all-over colour but work on individual strands and transitions, giving the hair volume, depth and an expensive look.

Highlights lighten individual strands for contrast and brightness. Balayage is a freehand colour melt from darker roots to light ends with a seamless transition. Babylights are a soft, blended lightening that creates the effect of naturally sun-bleached hair. The colourist chooses the technique to suit your length, colour and the result you want.

A big plus of these techniques is that grown-out roots are barely visible, so you can refresh the colour less often. The price is from 300 to 500 GEL depending on length, hair density and the complexity of the work.

How it works

  1. 1

Hair diagnosis and discussion of the look: the colourist decides which technique — highlights, balayage or babylights — best suits your hair and wishes.

  2. 2

Choosing the tone and the colour-melt plan: we agree on the degree of lightening, the transition zone and the final shade.

  3. 3

Lightening the strands with the chosen technique — freehand or on foil, with timing controlled for seamless transitions.

  4. 4

Rinsing and toning: toning brings the strands together into a single harmonious shade and removes yellow tones.

  5. 5

Care and styling: we apply a mask and blow-dry, highlighting the volume and dimension of the colour.

Who it's for

You want the effect of naturally sun-kissed hair
You want volume and depth of colour without a solid all-over dye
You want to refresh your colour less often — grown-out roots are barely visible
You love soft transitions and multi-dimensional colour
You're after an expensive, groomed look for your hair

Aftercare for coloured hair

Lightened strands need hydration and tone maintenance. Use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, use nourishing masks, and use a toning shampoo from time to time to keep a cool shade. Toning can be refreshed in the salon to keep the dimension clean.

In seaside Batumi, protect your hair from sun and seawater: they quickly dry out and yellow lightened strands. A hat at the beach, rinsing with fresh water after the sea, and products with UV protection will help keep the colour beautiful.
