Overview

Complex colouring, including the Airtouch technique, is the pinnacle of working with colour. Unlike single-process colour, here the colourist creates a multi-dimensional result: soft melts, dimensional shifts and seamless transitions that make the hair look visually thicker and appear as natural and expensive as possible.

Airtouch (literally “a touch of air”) is a delicate technique in which strands are blown with a stream of air to separate out the short hairs and lighten only the lengths you want. The result is a soft, almost invisible colour melt with no hard lines and a natural glow.

This is painstaking, time-consuming work that demands true skill from the colourist. The price is from 300 to 500 GEL depending on length, hair density and the complexity of the look you want.

How it works

  1. 1

Diagnosis and discussion of the look: the colourist studies your hair, starting colour and desired result, and maps out the colouring plan.

  2. 2

Choosing the tones and melt zones: we agree on the depth, degree of lightening and final shade for a natural, multi-dimensional effect.

  3. 3

Selecting strands with the Airtouch technique (air blowing) and applying the lightening formula with protective additives — precisely and carefully.

  4. 4

Rinsing and multi-step toning: it brings the strands together into a harmonious palette and sets a refined shade.

  5. 5

Restorative care and styling to highlight the volume, dimension and shine of the colour.

Who it's for

You want an expensive, multi-dimensional result with seamless transitions
You dream of a natural colour melt with no hard lines
You want visual volume and thickness through the play of shades
You want to refresh your colour less often — grown-out roots are barely visible
You're ready to trust your hair to a stylist's painstaking work

Contraindications

  • Severely damaged, brittle or porous hair — restoration is needed first
  • A recent perm or aggressive colouring in the past
  • Damage, irritation or cuts on the scalp
  • Individual intolerance to the components of the lightening formula

Aftercare for coloured hair

Complex colouring involves lightening the strands, so the hair needs supportive care. Use shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair, regularly use nourishing and restorative masks, and maintain cool shades with a toning shampoo. Toning can be refreshed in the salon to keep the dimension clean.

In seaside Batumi, protect your hair from sun and seawater — they quickly dry out and yellow lightened strands. A hat at the beach, rinsing with fresh water after the sea, and products with UV and heat protection will keep the colour beautiful and long-lasting.
